Our Physicians treat a wide variety of gynecological needs and disorders including irregular vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge and/or itching, Sexually transmitted diseases (STD’s,) pelvic pain, urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence, pelvic infection, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, ovarian/uterine masses, menopause and post-menopausal issues.
All birth control options are available. Weight control methods and treatments are offered for those who request them.

We are also expanding our services in cosmetic treatments like Botox, fillers and vaginoplasty so that you can receive most of your medical care under one roof, without having to start with new offices and new physicians and more and more paperwork.

Most disorders requiring surgical intervention are easily treated in our state-of-the-art operating room suite with full time anesthesia services. Our physicians specialize in minimally invasive techniques, many of which are non-incisional, promoting a rapid return to your daily routine and activities.

We can do D&C’s, hysteroscopy, biopsies, polyp removals, cryosurgery, uterine ablation, and permanent sterility just to name a few procedures that can be accomplished in the office exam room or the surgical suite.
We know how difficult it is for patients to go from one doctor’s office to another and another for different services so that we do try to provide expanded gynecology services so that you, as a patient, can get most of your general, gynecological and cosmetic care in one place, one location.

A simple, non-painful gentle swab of cervical cells to rule out causes of inflammation (for example Clamydia) and pre-cancerous or cancerous lesions. Caught early, these conditions are easily treated with office procedures before they become a serious problem.

A full evaluation, including vital signs (pulse, Blood Pressure, etc.), pelvic exam, Pap Smear, breast exam, and laboratory testing, is done. This is the time for a full baseline exam. The object is to prevent future disease before it becomes a problem.

For example, on your pap smear or with Colposcopy we can pick up abnormal cells (dysplasia) that are easy to treat with cryosurgery before they develop into cervical dysplasia or cancer.

We can screen for a host of other medical problems with our Physical exam and our laboratory testing so that we can catch irregularities before they present a problem. We can make sure that your vaccinations are up to date.

In sum, we can catch disease or potential disease before it becomes a problem.

At this exam, we will also address any present concerns that you might have like, for example, Birth control, itching, pain etc. and treat them appropriately. We can also begin treatment on any of the other gynecologic, urinary or cosmetic issues that you would like us to deal with.

There are numerous methods of Birth Control including BCP (Birth Control Pills), IUD’s, Diaphragms, foams, and permanent sterility (tubal ligation etc.)

Can be due to a host of issues and requires a full gynecology exam and a diagnostic plan to find the source of the pain.
Definitively diagnosed with Pap smear and cultures. Chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, are the usual culprits but herpes, HIV and other entities must be ruled out.
For example, often accompanied by itching, odor (fishy smell or other), grayish or whitish cottage cheese like discharge.

Can be caused by an endless number of reasons that need to be thoroughly investigated. Most are benign issues and require very simple treatment if any at all. But some irregular vaginal bleeding can be a precursor to more severe episodes or the first sign of a serious disorder.

Below is a list of most of the most common causes of irregular vaginal bleeding.

To be on the safe side, if you experience even one episode of irregular vaginal bleeding, you must make an appointment to be fully evaluated in order to rule out the most serious causes of irregular bleeding and, more importantly, to catch and treat any serious aliment that may be discovered before it becomes untreatable.

Our gynecologists and nurse practitioners are fully skilled and equipped to diagnose any of the causes of irregular bleeding and to take the appropriate steps necessary to make sure that you receive the best care and treatment for the problem.   1. General Medical Causes – bleeding dyscrasia (for example thrombocytopenia or VonWillebrand disease), that is an abnormal clotting process; kidney or liver disease; celiac disease.
  2. Trauma – (physical abuse or accidental trauma) on the vulva or in the vagina or the cervix or uterous from sexual intercourse, foreign objects etc.
  3. Physician Caused Bleeding – IUD; insertion, Post surgery; medications with anti coagulative properties; changing or stopping Birth Control Pills etc.
  4. Pregnancy – miscarriage, placental abruption, placenta previa, irritation in the vaginal canal, placenta accrete and increta, ectopic pregnancy.
  5. Growths – tumors or lesions of the uterus, cervix, ovary, vagina, Vulva, Fallopian tube. 
  6. Hormonal factors (endocrine) – peri-menopause, vaginal atrophy, Stein Leventhal syndrome, hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, endometriosis etc.
  7. Non-Cancerous Growths – For example uterine polyps or fibroids or adenomyosis.
  8. Infections of the Reproductive Tract – For Example Pelvic Inflammatory disease, clamydiatrachomatis, gonorrhea, cervicitis, endometritus, vagnitis, urea plasma vaginitis, vaginosis.

The important message to recognize is that if irregular vaginal bleeding occurs, you need to make an appointment to be fully evaluated so that any serious condition can be dealt with before it becomes un-treatable.

Definitively diagnosed with a culture but can be initially treated with an antibacterial and an anti-spasmodic.

What an inconvenience!! This is a common issue in women because, as opposed to men, they have a very short urethra. Just a little weakness in the pelvic floor (muscular support) can cause the problem. Symptoms can be treated with medication, exercises and surgery.

Uncomfortable moments can be mitigated with pads of various ability to absorb. But Urinary Incontinence usually requires surgical intervention to be fixed or at least improved.

Usually, but not always, accompanied by weight gain, irregular periods, inability to get pregnant, increased hair growth on face and chin; acne; hair loss on scalp; darkening of skin; cysts etc. Make an appointment to be evaluated.
Usually discovered on examination after an episode of irregular vaginal bleeding. But sometimes, they are symptom free and picked up with pelvic exam or radiological techniques.
Usually discovered of pelvic exam or with radiological techniques.
Usually characterized by painful periods and often accompanied by infertility. It needs to be evaluated, the sooner, the better.

Acuteusually accompanied by pelvic pain, fever and, if severe, rebound tenderness of the lower abdomen. Can evolve into a state of sepsis which can be life-threatening. Make an appointment immediately or go to the Emergency room.

Chronic Pelvic Inflammatory disease also needs to be fully evaluated.
